Ron Henry

Ron Henry is the (dare we say it?) genius behind the R-Strap. Conventional camera straps were bugging him, so he decided to come up with one that wouldn’t. He and Tyler took the idea and turned it into the functional, beautiful piece of equipment that it is today. Ron has years of experience photographing weddings, and often shoots pro bono for KEXP, Seattle’s awesome public radio station (there are suspicions that he just wants to get into the best shows). Ron has been lauded as a “brilliant photojournalist, with the gift of disappearing in a crowd, enabling him to capture moments you’d never expect, but of course treasure.” We promise, having an R-Strap way before anyone else did has nothing to do with it.

Tyler Kope

Tyler is a bit of a mad scientist. His majors in school included Kinematics, Astrophysics, Photography, Architecture, and Industrial Design (seriously). Before developing the R-Strap and founding BlackRapid with Ron, Tyler worked in patent illustration. He’s worked as an illustrator and consultant to several law firms, about 100 patent attorneys, and about 1000 clients, and was President and co-founder of Microcosm Concepts and Co, designers and builders of hot-rod computers for the music industry. In all that spare time, he’s an avid photographer and musician, and has even been known to bust a rhyme or two at opportune times. Despite his abnormal intelligence, he’s actually a really nice guy.

Jonathan King

Jonathan King is a fellow wedding photographer, and a darn good one at that. In 2003, he and his wife Lindsey started their own photo company, Seattle Digital Wedding, which has since been praised in wedding publications. In 2007 he began the amazing journey of fatherhood. Jonathan helps us with all the technology that we don’t understand, from websites to email to whatever. He’s always ready to update the site with a last minute deal or a stupid video that we think is hilarious.
