Nominee for Governor's Trader of the Year Awards 2011
BlackRapid is proud to be nominated for this years 2011 Governor’s Trader of the Year Awards.
Each year, the World Trade Club proudly honors those firms or individuals that have demonstrated outstanding achievement in international trade as Trader of the Year and Emerging Trader of the Year.
This year’s awards are to be presented by Washington State Governor Christine Gregoire at the Bell Harbor Conference Center in Seattle, WA, Monday, March 21, starting at 5:00 in the evening.
The World Trade Club presented its first Trader of the Year award in 1967 when it was the “Man of the Year” award. As more women entered the workforce, the award changed to the “Trader of the Year” award. In 1996, Governor Mike Lowry acknowledged the importance of this award and of international trade to our State by lending the name of his office to the award. In 1998, in order to recognize smaller businesses, the World Trade Club added a second award, the Governor’s Emerging Trade of the Year.
