BLACKRAPID WINS SHOOTOUT OVER SUN-SNIPER & CAMERA SLINGER

In a recent review by the folks over at PhotoInduced.com, Blackrapid was chosen as the front runner of the camera slings!

The review compared straps from 3 different companies (BLACKRAPID, Sun-Sniper, and Camera Slinger)
While all 3 straps have their pros (some very similar to others), here’s what they had to say about BLACKRAPID’s RS-7:

“The Black Rapid system with a slim shoulder strap, 2 brakes for camera control,
a complete line of accessories to customize it and go double camera, is the one we felt most comfortable with.
Over the 3 we felt it had the most features that we needed, and a price that was reasonable.”

Take a look at this video from Fotomicke on SLR Secrets. It’s in Swedish, but it really doesn’t matter.

We love this stuff… keep it coming!

Email: This strap RULES!!!!

Hi,
This is unusal for me, I never or hardly ever give a review for a new product I buy. I have degenrative disk disease. I’m always in alot of pain.
You left me with no choice.
My RS-7 arrived this morning, I could not wait to try it.
My dog and I left for a routine walk this evening, this time though we had the RS-7 in tow. Man, This strap RULES!!!!
I walked from 4PM to 7:30PM. No pain induced from the strap at all.
Awsome Job!! I wish you continued success.
Thank You very Much, I just placed an order for the RS-5 as well.

Cliff Wedding

“I’ve always loved my BlackRapid R-Strap. As a wedding photojournalist it allows me the freedom to work with one or more camera’s without feeling cluttered and the sense of security is fantastic. When asked to photograph a bride and groom climbing a 400 foot cliff to exchange vows on the top, I knew my R-Strap was going to be a key piece of equipment for the climb. It allowed me to have my camera secure and ready for the shot at any moment without being in my way while I climbed. This allowed me to move faster and enjoy the shoot more. I can’t imagine working without one again! Thank you!!”

The Strap For Me

“The action is almost like picking your camera off a table, it’s that frictionless. But when you set it down again, it’s still attached to your body. I was really surprised at how much lighter my camera felt when using this strap, because the weight is distributed differently. This was really my ’surprise gift’ of the season, even though I had requested it!”

BlackRapid Camera Strap Saved My Life in Japan!

“The moment the BlackRapid Strap arrived and I put it on I was 100% hooked; I wondered how I ever lived without it. It makes all other camera straps seem like “old technology”. The BlackRapid is a revolutionary product that immediately threatens to make all other camera straps obsolete! It’s that good.”

A Better Camera Strap?

Reed Hoffman

“Being a newspaper photographer for over twenty years has taken its toll on my neck and shoulders. I’ve grown to hate the weight of cameras around my neck, and am tired of trying to keep them from falling off my shoulders. One company looks like it has a good solution for me.”

Double Strap Down Under

Very Very happy with the double strap. I have shot over 500 wedding over 16 years and this is the most comfortable way I have ever shot. Both my staff member Lucas Jarvis and I have the double and we have been singing your praises here in Sydney. We love it. -Dean @ Inlighten

LOVE your products

Hi guys,

LOVE your products. Actually own them all – bought one, had to have another with a coupler – then recently got my DR-1 double strap and again, LOVE it.

…sorry about the cheesy grin, but it’s the only photo of me with the straps!

Best Regards,

Bruce Benedict

My neck is thanking you

I know you hear this after every sale you make but this is the best camera strap in the world. I got it just two days after I ordered it and have had it on my 30D for about ten minutes and already I am flipping out. It’s so simple and ergonomic with ridiculously easy adjustments. I shoot with Canon L-series lenses which, as you know, weigh about a billion pounds (as least it feels that way with the old strap). My neck is thanking you and so is my personal chiropractor, who is my wife. How has it taken this long to design a quality camera strap?!?! The construction is top notch which makes me happy as it is now attached to $3000 worth of camera. The only useless part of the whole package is the nifty bag it came in as it will never go back in there. Thank you for your creation and useful contribution to photography.

U.S. Army photojournalist -Using the Rstrap

Hello,
I am Seattle native and U.S. Army photojournalist currently serving in Basra, Iraq. I’ve been using the RS-4 for 6 months now in Iraq and I cant remember how I ever got around with a camera before it! Wearing body armour and all the other stuff we have to carry when we are outside the wire makes carrying a camera around extremely difficult, your strap is a god-send. It keeps my camera out of the way when I’m not using it so that i can still easily raise my weapon, climb in and out of vehicles and helicopters, i can even run without getting a bloody nose from my camera hitting me in the face. I was so excited when i found out about the double-strap (which i purchased today!)

Attached are several photos of your strap in action in Iraq. I know they arent great photos, if you are interested in better photos for marketing or whatever let me know, we could take some better ones with that in mind. I could take some with the double-strap when it gets here.

You Guys are Killing Me

My partner here at the studio (my wife) has absconded permanently with my R-Strap. What caused this you ask? That little gem I received on Thursday that links two straps into a harness. Well to test you need two straps right? The math doesn’t work in my favor my one plus her one = none for me and a set for her. Way to go guys. I’m about to break my buddy Al’s heart and put a link to your strap right by his, and to think he and I have collaborated on enhancements and modifications that I use every day ~ he’s gonna take me out of his will.

You guys hit this last little tool right on the money, great job. When the economy picks back up I’ll send in an order for the double strap (will make me one up on the cool factor) and stop hanging my cameras from Al’s quick releases attached to a Think Tank harness. By the way Al is Al Stegmeyer from UpStrap, a hell of an engineer but he just got beat out by someone better. People comment on our straps wherever we go hope it does your sales some good.

Regards

Nothing too girly….just a little style:)

I just purchased my strap a couple of months ago, and I mostly love it. It’s far more comfortable than a traditional neck strap, but I was sad to pass up all of the really cute “designer” neck straps. Flash forward to last week, when I had an idea of how to make my BlackRapid strap a little cuter. I bought some 7/8″ ribbon that matched my camera bag, and sewed it onto the black nylon strap. It came out great and didn’t affect function one bit:) So then I was thinking, my son plays electric guitar, and he has all sorts of cool straps where the design is actually woven into, or printed onto the nylon strapping. Easy! So anyhow, I just thought you might get more women to take the leap in trying a BlackRapid if they had a feminine option. Nothing too girly….just a little style:) I’ve included a photo of my newly stylized strap, let me know what you think:)

I can honestly say

Hey Ron,
Just a quick note to say how much I loved using the strap. I can honestly say that there are two things that have changed the way I use a camera – digital imaging and the RB strap (maybe a slight exaggeration but sincere). I took some shots from the field and I’ll pass them along when I get a chance but I really appreciate you getting it into my hands so quickly.
Cheers,
Josh
