Bio: My name is Ev and I am a self taught editorial and travel photographer. I was raised in Los Angeles and am currently based in the Bay Area. I freelance between both cities specializing in black and white fashion and portraiture with professional models as well as the everyday woman. The rest of my time I spend photographing the world via short term and long term adventures and . My interest in photography stretches back to childhood. I went from taking my parents’ point and shoot cameras to photograph my siblings and family, to purchasing endless disposable cameras and photographing my friends in high school. However, I always thought that photography was meant to be a hobby, not a career. So after graduating from UCLA with a BA in psychology (my default career path), I took time off to travel the world for 6 months. It was an incredible experience and that is when I rediscovered my passion for photography. I vowed to buy a “really expensive” pro camera when I got home and teaching myself how to use it. Fast forward 10 years later, and I have gone through nightlife and concerts, family portraiture and weddings, to fashion and travel. I have multiple publications under my belt, have added new countries to my travel list, and currently hold the Photography Studio Director title to a beautiful creative space in the North Bay.
