Do I need to buy anything additional?

All of the Rstraps come with all of the hardware you need to get going.

Sizing:

The R-Strap is very adjustable. The strap measures 60″ (30″ from top of left shoulder to right hip). There is a sweet spot adjustment so when adjusting the R-Strap slide the camera up by pushing out slightly. The camera must come close to your eye. The R-Strap is very adjustable to fit most size photographers. If it doesn’t work out for you for any reason, you can return it for a full refund.

Do I have to purchase any additional FastenRs?

The R-Straps all come with a FastenR-2. You can purchase additional FastenR-2s if you want to quickly switch the R-Strap between multiple cameras.

What are the main differences between the straps?

The RS-4 has a slim, straight pad and a small zippered pocket.

The RS-5 has a cellphone pocket and a layered design that conceals two zippered pockets.

The DR-1 Double Strap is (obviously) designed for two cameras and has no storage, but is MODS compatible.

The RS-7 has an ergonomically curved pad for increased comfort, has no integrated storage, and is also MODS compatible.

What are MODS?

MODS are our line of easily attachable storage and accessories, which will be constantly expanding.

Will the BRAD work with my strap?

The BRAD works great with all of our single straps.

Will the CoupleR work with the ______?

Because of the RS-7’s curved pad, it’s really not a good match. However, the CoupleR performs admirably with any combination of RS-4s and RS-5s.

Will the RS-5’s magnets damage my ______?

The neodymium magnets in the RS-5’s closures will not effect your phone, storage cards, etc. You do, however, want to avoid actual magnetic media like tapes. For products sensitive to magnetic fields, please consult the manufacturer’s recommendations.

CoupleR vs RS DR-1: Is the RS DR-1 more comfortable than the CoupleR kit?

While comfort is a matter of personal preference, overall we have to say yes. The RS DR-1 is designed specifically to be used with two camera bodies counter-balancing each other. The CoupleR, on the other hand, offers the flexibility to use each strap individually and to easily create new carrying solutions on the go. All in all, both strap designs solve the problem of shooting with two bodies gracefully, and the CoupleR and RS DR-1 each have their own unique advantages.

What kind of cell phones will fit in the RS-5’s phone pocket?

The pocket is large enough for iPhones and similarly sized smart phones.

What is your return policy?

If you find that the R-strap did not work out for you, please contact us for an RMA form to return it with in 30 days of purchase. You will be refunded in full for the item being returned. Black Rapid, 315 N. 36th St, Suite 201, Seattle WA, 98103.

Is there a Warranty?

We guarantee the quality of our R-Straps. If you find your strap is defective within a year of purchase, we will gladly exchange it!

Ordering/Shipping

Where is my order?

We know you are excited to get your strap and think that once you have it you’ll agree that it was worth the wait. You’ll wonder what you ever did without it.

Domestic: Once your order has been printed Paypal should send you an email to confirm that your order is being processed and this will include a USPS tracking number. Please refer to this email and the USPS website for the most up to date information. Standard domestic shipping generally takes no more than 5 business days, but can take up to 10 days. If time is a concern, please upgrade to USPS Express at checkout.

International: To keep your costs low, we ship via USPS and they do not provide a tracking number for International shipments. We will email you the day that your parcel leaves us. It can take 2 – 4 weeks for delivery, largely depending on customs. Customs fees may apply and if your parcel is missing it might be stuck in customs. Please check with them and let us know what they say!

But, I got an email from Paypal with a USPS tracking number… The shipping information hasn’t changed. What’s up? Great news! You’re at the top of the queue! When your order is printed this email is automatically generated by Paypal with the USPS tracking number. Orders are filled as they are received. We generally do not generate tracking numbers until the day that the item is ready to be shipped.

Can I upgrade my shipping?

If you are located in the United States and need your R-Strap ASAP, you can upgrade your shipping to USPS Express at checkout.

Do I have to use Paypal?

Nope. You have options! You are not required to use Paypal to complete your transaction. Once you place the item in the shopping cart and click Proceed to check out. On the next page, look in the lower left hand corner and you will see instructions on how to complete your purchase without using Paypal.

Can I order by phone?

At this time we are not able to take orders via the phone unless all other methods fail. Please place your order by visiting our website or by visiting one of our Resellers.
