Age you took your first photo? What camera did you use? Erin: I was 8 years old and snapped a photo with a plastic point and shoot Vivitar that was given to me by my grandmother. Caroline: Somewhere around 7 or 8 years old I took a photo with a Polaroid camera and watched it come to life.
When did you realize that you wanted to be a professional photographer? Erin: In 2012! Caroline: In 2017!
Who inspires you? Erin: My friends. I didn’t go to art school and have learned almost everything I know from friends and trial and error. Caroline: Erin!
What camera do you use to capture most of your work? We both shoot with a Fuji X-T2
If I could photograph anyone in the world, alive or deceased, it would be…. Erin: My grandparents. Caroline: My grandmother Adoline’s hands.
What do you do when not taking photos? Erin: Play outside and have a Fun Time Caroline: Sip on an IPA and dream about building another tiny house.
Favorite place on Earth? Erin: Anywhere with Caroline! Caroline: Running with Erin on a new trail.
One piece of advice for someone at the beginning stages of their photography career? Erin: Experiment with all the buttons on your camera and try to figure out what they do to your images. Caroline: Try not to get discouraged when your photos don’t turn out how you see them in your mind.
How do you "Live The Moment"? Erin: By staying as present as possible in every single moment Caroline: By trying to be positive and hopeful rather than discouraged by the unknown.
