Well made, easy-on/easy-off of strap, fast camera access, puts the camera where I like it when not shooting. I really like where it hangs with my 70-200/2.8 attached at the tripod mount ring. Some will love the pockets and pouches for CF cards, business cars, cell phones, batteries.

Hey everyone, I have nothing to do with them, I just want to share my experience.
I placed an order earlier in the week and was informed the straps were back ordered and I could be waiting up to three weeks. Today I receive a package in the mail...it came! That was faster than most people's shipping with inventory in stock! So much for back ordered!
I ordered the R2 strap that has the extra pockets. I figured since I use a modular think tank belt system, why not keep it going with extra pockets on me.
Bottom line: This is THE BEST strap system I have ever used. Hands down. I attach it to my L-plate and the camera hangs perfectly and out of the way. I can even still attach to a tripod in portrait mode if I need. That works great for shooting portraits on location where I occasionally use a tripod. I might actually purchase a small screw-style RRS clamp to permanently mount to the strap so then I have the best of the strap and a QR system so I can interchange between my tripod and strap instantly.
The strap removes the burden of the camera's weight. I have always preferred a shoulder strap for this reason, but all the other straps make it a pain to use in practice. Generally beacuse I hate a strap around my hands or face when i'm shooting. I generally don't even use a strap or a handstrap. Yes, dumb, but ide rather take the risk for the comfort, and if anything, I have two connector ends on the camera buckled together like a handle for quick carrying.
This strap keeps itself out of the way and below my face when im shooting. Even in portrait mode there is virtually no "jingling" or strap to bother me. I don't even notice it! The strap is very comfortable and lightweight. The connectors are solid and fitment is great. I'm 5' 9" and fit and I didn't even have to adjust the strap when it came. I may bring it up an inch or two depending where the camera is in relation to my belt system, but on its own, its great!
I am definitely going to order a second one. If you want a strap for walking around and making your camera instantly accessible with no second thought or fuss, there is no better strap! This is it! And the motion of going from hip to face is thoughtless! It just happens! Smooth and fast! Its reflex!
If anyone is on the fence...give it a shot! It makes neckstraps and dual-attachment straps seem archaic! This is one hot product that will soon find its way into every camera store I bet!
Two thumbs up for BlackRapid!

I don't usually like to shoot with two bodies, but with the RS-1 strap, I can comfortably shoot without my cameras knocking into each other. All I have to do is keep one camera behind my back and out of my way until I need to use it...I love it!

Just wanted to drop you a line on the R-strap. I¹ve been using it for Seahawks’ and Huskies’ games configured with a 70-200 lens on a Canon 1D body. I love this strap! It provides the quickest access to my 70-200 I¹ve ever had in 25 years of shooting. Since the strap rests diagonally across my chest, it doesn¹t get in the way of the 24-70/5D combo I keep around my neck, and it can¹t slip off my shoulder when I have to pick up and run to the other end zone!
Thanks for inventing this, it¹s made my life much easier. Check out some of my photos from the last Seahawks games at the Sports Illustrated Viewcast site.
Kind regards,
Otto Greule

I just wanted to mention that the R-Strap is a really great concept. This is coming from a company that owns every bag/strap known to mankind. I find that the R-strap is the best option for low profile shooters looking to maintain a low profile but still have a really convenient way to get at their camera fast with the confidence that it is also not going to slip or fall off at the wrong moment.

So far I am happy with the R-Strap and I can see myself recommending it to others. I would like to be able to purchase another attachment point or two. Is that possible?
