I carry BLACKRAPID straps every day as a portrait photographer. For my weddings or studio work, I use the Sport straps like the On Set or BlackLine. But when I’m out having an adventure (like on motorcycle trips), I reach for the Cross Shot.
Here are some examples of photos taken while riding using the Cross Shot strap.

In this video I show why:
- The grippy rubber pad locks onto leather jackets, vests, ski shells, and hiking outerwear
It switches from left to right in seconds (left-handed on the bike so I can keep my right hand on the throttle) - I can shoot one-handed while riding, then flip it to my normal right-handed setup for street portraits in town
- I can adjust the height, for instance on the motorcycle I keep it higher so the lens doesn’t bang into the bike

If you shoot adventure, travel, skiing, hiking, or just want a cross-body sling that actually stays put, this is the strap.
